Redevelopment of Museum and Art Gallery for Torbay Council. The whole site and Grade 1 listed building has been restructured to incorporate major museum and gallery accommodation, and gardens. New build elements include a new cloister walk and entrance building.

 

The project funded through Heritage Lottery and English Heritage and has been carried out in three phases.

Conversion and restoration of a

Grade I listed Manor house and associated farm buildings.

 

Upgraded visitor facilities. including expansion of the cafe and kitchen, new toilets and learning building.

The existing site was occupied by a grade II listed building, which has been restored and converted into 21 apartments.

 

New build elements on the site include a 60 bed care home, 20 cottages, 20 care suites and a new chapel.
